Investor Collective (“we,” “us”) is a private, invite-only community of accredited investors who learn from one another. These terms cover your use of the Investor Collective website, app, emails and events (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them, and to our Privacy Policy.
The short version: this is an educational community, not an investment service. Nothing here is advice or an offer. Membership is free, we never take a percentage of any deal, and we are not paid based on whether anyone invests. Keep what you learn here in the community, and don’t use it to pitch or spam other members.
The Service is for information and discussion only. Nothing on it is investment, legal, tax or financial advice, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security. Investor Collective is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser or placement agent. We do not recommend, endorse or verify any opportunity or person featured here, and a question answered on an opportunity is not a substitute for your own due diligence.
Opportunities are presented by the people behind them. Any investment decision is made solely between you and that opportunity’s sponsors or operators, entirely outside the Service. Private investments are speculative and illiquid and involve substantial risk, including the loss of everything you invest. Consult your own advisors before investing.
Membership is free for accredited investors. We do not charge members for access or to see opportunities, and we never take a percentage of any deal or any compensation that depends on whether an investment is made. The community is supported by sponsors, who pay a flat fee for placement in our newsletter, on the podcast or at events. Sponsorship never includes member information.
What members share here is shared in trust. Keep member information, conversations and opportunity materials confidential, and don’t copy, forward or publish them outside the community without permission from the person who shared them. You are welcome to invite people you think belong here with your own invite link.
You agree not to:
Anyone who uses the community to pitch or spam members is removed.
If you present an opportunity, you are responsible for the accuracy of everything you or we publish about it on your behalf, and for complying with every law that applies to your offering. You receive no member contact details from us, and you may contact a member only after that member asks you for information. Sponsors of the newsletter, podcast or events receive placement only.
What you post stays yours. You give us permission to host, display and share it within the community, including in the weekly digest, for as long as it is on the Service. You are responsible for having the right to share what you post. We may edit or remove anything that breaks these terms. If you ask us to delete your account, your content is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
You can leave at any time by asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or remove any account that breaks these terms or puts the community at risk, and we can change or discontinue features of the Service. The sections on advice, confidentiality, liability and disputes continue to apply after you leave.
The Service links to and embeds things we don’t run, such as videos, company websites and registration pages for outside events. We are not responsible for them.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Investor Collective and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, or for any investment loss, arising from your use of the Service or anything you learn through it. Because membership is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to one hundred US dollars.
You agree to cover any claims, losses or costs brought against us that result from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If something goes wrong, write to us first and we will try to resolve it directly. If we can’t, any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell members in advance, and the date at the top will show when they last changed. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
